Batman is a 1960s American live action television series created by William Dozier and based on the DC comic book character of the same name.
The show focused on the adventures of Batman and Robin, two crime-fighting heroes who defend Gotham City from a variety of arch villains.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
Ratings had dropped significantly near the end of the third season. NBC agreed to take over the series from ABC, before discovered that hundreds of thousands of dollars of Batman sets had been destroyed before they could do so. NBC then decided to drop the project rather than rebuild the sets.
