Constantine is an American television series developed by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer, featuring the DC Comics character John Constantine.
John Constantine, a seasoned demon hunter and dabbling master of the occult, must struggle with his past sins while protecting the innocent from the converging supernatural threats that constantly break to our world due to the "Rising Darkness." Using his skills and a supernatural scry map, Constantine balances his actions upon the line of good and evil and journeys across the nation to send these terrors back to their own world, all for the hope of redeeming his soul from eternal torment.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
The series suffered from low ratings during its one season run. Regardless, the series continued its story through a crossover with shows set within The CW series Arrowverse, particularly the fourth season of Arrow, and two episodes of the third season of Legends of Tomorrow. The show will also be reinvented as an animated web series, Constantine: City of Demons, which is set within said universe and scheduled to debut in 2018.
