Green Lantern: The Animated Series is an American computer-animated television series based on the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern. The series aired on Cartoon Network as part of their "DC Nation" television block.
Premise[]
The series focuses on the adventures of Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, and his partner Kilowog, who steal a space ship controlled by Aya and travel to "Frontier Space" together. They reach the very edge of the Guardians' territory, where Green Lanterns are being killed by the Red Lanterns and their leader, Atrocitus, who wants revenge for the destruction of his world by the Manhunters, created by the Guardians, who shut them down. Along the way, the duo adopt a Red Lantern named Razor, and Hal falls in love with Aya.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
The series ran for only one season due to poor toy sales from the live-action movie, which was poorly received.
