Scrubs (stylized as [scrubs]) is an American medical comedy-drama television series created by Bill Lawrence. It aired on NBC before being moved to ABC.
The show focuses on the unique point of view of its main character and narrator, Dr. John Michael "J.D" Dorian for the first eight seasons, while season nine being narrated by the new main character Lucy Bennett. Most episodes feature multiple story lines thematically linked by voice-overs done by J.D., as well as his comical daydreams.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
While season eight was produced to be the final season, it was decided that the series be renewed/rebooted for a ninth season, which consisted of an entirely new cast. Season nine earned mixed reviews compared to the previous eight, which were widely acclaimed. Much of the criticism was directed at the new cast, which led to low ratings.
