The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show is an animated television series featuring characters and storylines from the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schultz.
Essentially, it is mostly made up of events that the Peanuts gang usually wind up doing in their lives. This includes Lucy pining for Schroeder's affection and pulling the football away from Charlie Brown, Sally's attempts at making a report for school, Charlie Brown's coaching baseball, etc.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
Ratings for the show proved lower than expected, so CBS moved it to 8:00 a.m. Eastern time in hopes of boosting the ratings; this attempt proved ineffective. As a result, further production was on hiatus before a second and final season of five episodes was ordered. In 1986, the series was dropped after many weeks of reruns and was replaced with repeats of Richie Rich.
