Wonderfalls is an American television comedy-drama series created by Todd Holland Bryan Fuller for Fox which aired from March 12, 2004 to December 15, 2004.

Premise[]

The series centered on Jaye Tyler, a recent graduate from Brown University with a degree in philosophy who has a dead-end job working as a sales clerk at a Niagara Falls gift shop where she finds herself having conversations with various animal figurines that give her instructions to help people in need.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

Although "Wonderfalls" received positive reviews from critics, it had trouble attracting viewers. The show was later moved from Fridays to Thursdays, but there was little notice or promotion of its time change and Fox subsequently cancelled it after the fourth episode aired; a fifth episode was advertised, but never aired.

After its cancellation, a campaign was formed by fans and producers tried to interest other TV networks (such as The WB) in picking up the show; some episodes were even shown in theatres in Los Angeles, California in the summer of 2004 in order to raise support. Despite that, the show was not picked up by another network.
